Construction status.

Riverstone

Riverstone construction is almost complete! With almost 10,000 residents in the neighborhood and a few hundred more soon, we are excited to see its full beauty.

Willowbank

This brand new neighborhood is also finishing up its construction! Almost 4,000 residents are currently happily residing in this comfy corner with convenient access to Hu Pkwy and a new Interstate 72 interchange. Pine and birch trees give the space a cozy forest vibe.

Apex Industrial Park

Apex Industrial Park now has an incinerator, taking waste and turning it into power, and grain farms to help balance the shortage of grain in our city to avoid high import costs from our neighbors. The rail yard is still on track to be constructed in the next few years, and as always, the area is surrounded by beautiful trees and nature.

Ellies Smiles Medical Services

As our city grows like never before, Ellies Smiles Medical Service (ESMS)'s urgent care isn't enough for the size of our city anymore. So, that's why this Hospital located off of Nikko Blvd on Hu Pkwy with space for 500 patients, 30 ambulances, and a medical helicopter has finished construction has been providing the city with all medical services. A trauma center and specialized treatment ward will be added on when capacity reaches its limits.

A statement on traffic issues.

Especially noticeable during the past year, traffic has been a big issue, particularly on Nikko Blvd and Hu Pkwy. We've taken multiple actions to attempt to solve the issue, a few of them being demolishing poorly planned mixed density homes and replacing them with spacious low density single family housing built by Serene Creek Homes, adding more capacity to the roads, and controlling enormous cyclist traffic with underground trails. While these have made a profound impact on the traffic, as our city grows with higher density homes, please be assured that we are trying our very best to control traffic. If you have any suggestions you would like to share with us on how to resolve traffic more efficiently, please don't hesitate to reach out to the City Manager, David.

Civic Center

Speaking of city management, our Nikko Civic Center is operating! With multiple administrative buildings like the city hall, a welfare office, police station, fire house, road maintenance depot, park maintenance depot, and bus depot, our city is set to be running even more smoothly, but bear with us when we get to some bumpy rides.

Rhine River Trail

Last but not least, the Rhine River Trail, which goes along the sides of Rhine River (as you may imagine) is continuing expansion as new neighborhoods are developed. We hope you enjoy the beautiful weather of Nikko on your walks or cycling adventures! So, go, and take a nice break this afternoon, or tomorrow, or whenever you have the time.

See you soon in our next update!
