What have we been up to?
It’s been a busy and exciting stretch here at City Hall, and we’re happy to share a few highlights from around the city.

Trams Arrive in Sandstone Shores
Down by the water, Sandstone Shores has officially welcomed Nikko’s newest transit option: trams. This new service makes it easier for residents and visitors to move through the seaside neighborhood without needing a car, connecting homes, shops, and waterfront spaces in a simple, convenient loop. It’s a small but meaningful step toward keeping Nikko walkable and easy to explore.

Two Big Openings for Local Shopping
Nikko also celebrated the arrival of two major retailers. Our first IKEA store has opened its doors, offering residents a new destination for home inspiration and everyday essentials. Meanwhile, Riverstone Town Center proudly welcomed Nikko’s very first Whole Foods Market, adding fresh groceries and prepared foods to the growing mix of shops and restaurants in the district.
All together, these updates represent the steady progress our city continues to make—improving everyday infrastructure, expanding transportation options, and bringing new amenities closer to home. As always, thank you for being part of the Nikko community. More updates are on the way as our city continues to grow.
Warmly,
Hudson, Public Information Officer

A Fresh Look for Our Streets
Across Nikko, crews have been giving our roadways a bit of a glow-up. You may have noticed fresh lane markings, updated striping, and new landscaping along many of our major corridors. Palm trees have started appearing along several routes as well, adding a breezy coastal feel that fits nicely with Nikko’s beachside character. These improvements help make our streets clearer, safer, and just a little more beautiful for everyone who uses them.
