Medications + glasses if you wear them
Prepare Your Home
Clear dry leaves/branches from your yard and roof
Move flammable stuff away from your house
Close all windows and doors if there’s smoke
Know how to shut off gas, power, and water
Stay Informed
Know where emergency shelters are
Follow all city accounts on Chirper
Keep your phone charged
Plan Your Evacuation
Know more than one way out of your neighborhood
Practice your route
Keep your car’s gas tank at least half-full
Help Others
Check on elderly neighbors or friends without cars
Share your plan with your family or group chat
If you have pets, make a pet plan
It’s better to prepare and not need it than need it and not be ready. Stay safe and stay smart!
